Chadrashtamam is the state when the moon transit towards its 8 th house from it's own position. 8th house is meant for darkness, bad incidents ,a confused state etc. Every month for 6 hrs in a day it happens and during this period it is better to avoid decision making , Discussing something important and avoid arguments may lead to unfavorable results.
